The San Jose Sharks signed goaltender Eric Comrie to a two-year contract worth $1.15 million AAV, announced General Manager Mike Grier.
The Sharks signed Comrie, 30, who posted a 12-11-1 record over 25 appearances with the Winnipeg Jets last season.
Comrie finished with a 3.13 Goals Against Average and .890 Save Percentage.
The signing of Comrie adds depth to the Sharks' goalie lineup, with Comrie having amassed a 45-47-4 record in 102 career NHL contests.
Comrie has a career 3.11 GAA, .896 SV% and four shutouts, splitting his tenure in the league between the Jets, Detroit Red Wings, New Jersey Devils and Buffalo Sabres.
The Sharks are currently 11th in the Western Conference, with a 39-35 record, on a W1 streak.
Comrie has also appeared in American Hockey League (AHL) games in parts of 10 seasons, representing the St. John’s IceCaps, Manitoba Moose, Tucson Roadrunners and Rochester Americans.
He has competed in 214 career AHL games, owning a record of 94-95-21 with 11 shutouts, a 2.81 GAA and .912 SV%.
Comrie was originally selected by Winnipeg in the 2013 NHL Draft (second round, 59th overall).
The six-foot-one, 190-pound native of Edmonton, Alberta, has represented Canada at the 2017 IIHF Men’s World Championship, earning a Silver Medal, and 2015 World Junior Championship, where he earned Gold.
